Condition

The movement is running at time of cataloging, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement. Case in overall very good condition with light wear. Upper lugs with some scuffs and nicks. Bezel with some soft wear. Light and minimal surface marks throughout. Key winding mechanism working properly. Date function working properly. Dial and movement in excellent condition. Associated winding mechanism in excellent condition. ***Please be advised that the bands on this watch are made of materials derived from endangered or otherwise protected species (i.e. alligator and crocodile) and thus not sold with the watch, they are for display purposes only. We will remove these bands prior to international shipping.***

Together with one instructional booklet, one polishing cloth, sales tags, one leather bi fold, two winding mechanisms, one winding mechanism case, and a presentation box with outer packaging. 

The Lange 31, which amasses an impressive 31 day power reserve, is further enhanced by the caliber's ability to maintain a consistent rate of accuracy over its entire 744 hours of winding autonomy. A constant force escapement is positioned between two mainspring barrels to deliver a maintained torque level through the power reserve period.
