Condition

The movement is running at time of cataloging, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement. Case in overall good condition with light wear and scuffs consistent with use and age. Bezel and bands with some light scuffing throughout. Hallmarks to the left side case band still visible. Case back inscribed "Patek Philippe Geneve, 150th Anniversaire 1839-1989 Mvt 752610." Case overall may benefit from cleaning. Dial and movement in excellent condition. ***Please be advised that the bands on this watch are made of materials derived from endangered or otherwise protected species (i.e. alligator and crocodile) and thus not sold with the watch, they are for display purposes only. We will remove these bands prior to international shipping.***

Reference 3969 was launched in 1989 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Patek Philippe. From the limited series of 500 pieces, 450 were made in pink gold and 50 pieces were made in platinum.
