Condition

The movement is running at time of cataloging, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement. Case in overall fair condition with wear, scuffing, scratches, and oxidation throughout. Cuvette with some surface markings and inscribed with case number, and brand information. Movement with light oxidation to the plates- in overall good condition. Dial in overall very good condition with wear and debris throughout. Oxidation to the hands and center arbor areas. Some oxidation to the sunken subsidiary dial at the adjoining areas. some fading to the track.

Catalogue Note

Although Jürgensen generally signed the cases of his watches, he did not sign the case on the present lot. This piece may have been made to special order, as it has a more stylized design compared to Jürgensen's characteristic engine-turned and plain polished cases.
