Condition

The movement is running at time of cataloguing, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement. Case in overall fair vintage condition with wear, scuffing oxidation and polish. Yellow gold case bezel with heavier oxidation especially at 10. Case back with wear and oxidation and inscribed with monogram and "28th March 1934." Dial overall good vintage condition. The attractive black dial retains it's color. Some fading and oxidation to the numerals. Scratches and surface markings throughout consistent with age. Winding crown is stiff and may require service at the buyer's discretion. Movement in fair condition. ***Please be advised that the bands on this watch are made of materials derived from endangered or otherwise protected species (i.e. alligator and crocodile) and thus not sold with the watch, they are for display purposes only.
