Catalogue Note

Accompanied by an Extract from the Archives confirming the year of manufacture in 1946 and date of sale on March 3rd, 1983.

The present model, Ref. 1450, is referred to as the Top Hat for the banded ends of its distinctive case shape. Just as many of the now-illustrious vintage rectangular shape watches, the case for the Top Hat was made by Markowski.

Ref. 1450 is illustrated in Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, Patek Philippe, vol. 1, 1982, p. 137.
