The case back is engraved America's Cup Constellation 1964 R.F.G for the recipient.

The Constellation was the U.S. defender ship in the 1964 America's Cup held in Newport, Rhode Island that defeated the Sovereign 4-0. This watch was presented to the crew members of the Constellation prior to the their victory over the Sovereign at the start of the 1964 America's Cup. The present lot is being offered by the family of the original owner, a member of the team who sailed the Constellation to victory in 1964.
