Cal. 12"'AM-400, Patek Philippe's first amagnetic movement, debuted in 1958. It was fitted with a gold lever so that it could withstand and maintain accuracy near high magnetic fields. Cal. 27-400 AM, with which the present model is fitted, was its successor, and featured a free-sprung Gyromax balance.
