In 2007, Audemars Piguet launched the Royal Oak Offshore Team Alinghi Chronograph, celebrating the achievement of the Swiss yachting team, Alinghi, being the first European challenger to win the America's cup. Forged carbon was the chosen innovative material for this exceptional timepiece. Carbon is commonly used in the aeronautics industry for its resistance and lightness. The case of the watch weighs only 100 grams.

The present lot is one of the twenty limited edition produced for the crew members.
