Condition

Oil on panel. The work is framed in a Bezalel-designed metal and wood frame. There is a stable web of craquelure over the picture surface as well as some minor pigment separation. Scattered vertical lines of craquelure extend from the top edge into the work. Some of these lines have artist pinholes at the top. A minor area of abrasion at lower left. There is a minor diagonal scuff to the skull cap. Under UV light, the work is covered by a thick varnish the obscured the surface.
