Scattered vertical lines of craquelure extend from the top edge into the work. Some of these lines have artist pinholes at the top. A minor area of abrasion at lower left. There is a minor diagonal scuff to the skull cap. Under UV light, the work is covered by a thick varnish the obscured the surface.
