Condition

Oil on canvas, unlined. The canvas is slightly slack on the stretcher. The picture surface is in overall good condition aside from some minor rubbing at the extreme edges. Minor surface dirt. Under UV light, there is some florescence above the rabbi's head. Additional areas of florescence are visible around the fence at left; in the column at left; and scattered in the Torah crown. These may be related to the artist's working methods. There is one spot of likely retouching in the chest of the rabbi's black garb. Some additional florescence in the lower half of the black garb. Overall the work is in generally good condition and is ready to hang
