Condition

Overall in good condition. The wood surfaces present with scattered and minor nicks and faint areas of wear to the edges, consistent with gentle handling. The biomorphic outer edge with a series of darker colorations within the grain to the proper right upper edge, as is visible in the catalogue illustration, as well as an area at the proper left bottom edge, none of which are visually distracting. The cherry presents with a several scattered hairlines in the wood grain along the proper right side and the bottom (longest is approximately 3 in.), likely due to temperature fluctuations, and is common for of this age and material. The reverse with a drilled hole for the purposes of wall display. Also functioning as a table mirror, this is a creative form with interesting, undulating movement that is characteristic of Castle's oeuvre.
