Condition

Overall in good original condition. When viewed in person, the blue enamel presents with a slightly darker color than in the catalogue illustration, more of a navy color. The silver with a few light surface scratches and minute dents consistent with age and gentle use. The recessed areas with minor residue of silver polish. On the side visible on the catalogue illustration, the enamel has been examined under black light and presents no evidence of prior restoration. The other side presents with a seated male figure decoration and has areas of loss to the enamel along the upper border and along the lower proper right edge, approximately 1/4 inches into the decorative element. A rare basket with very nice scale when seen in person.
