Condition

Overall in very good condition. The wooden surfaces with light surface scratches, minor abrasions and light surface dirt to the recessed areas of the design consistent with age and gentle use. The proper left vertical rail of the backrest with a very small loss to one of the carved wood elements measuring approximately 1/4 x 1/4 inch, not visually detractive and only visible upon close inspection. Several of the joints are lacking decorative conical roundel elements. The vellum in very good condition with some occasional areas of rubbing to the backrest and seat and some occasional discolorations throughout, none visually detractive. The proper right back corner of the seat with a break adjacent to where the twine is threaded. The metal decorations in very good condition with light surface scratches and occasional minor areas of discoloration and oxidation. The proper left side of the chair with an area lifting to one of the thin brass concentric circle inlays. The platform below the seat with similar lifting to one of the inlays and lacking one inlay. The twine and silk tassels in good condition with light surface dirt and some extremely faint discolorations.
