Condition
Overall in very good condition. When viewed in person, the amboyna presents with a slightly darker and warmer color than in the catalogue illustration, with rich figuring. The surfaces have been sensitively refinished and present with a few surface scratches, minor edge abrasions, consistent with age and gentle use. The veneer with some very thin craquelures, consistent with aging of the wood and with a few scattered minor and sensitively undertaken restorations throughout, only visible upon close inspection. A sculptural table with a beautiful wood selection.
