Condition
Overall in good original condition. Please note that the color reproduction in the catalogue is not accurate. In reality in our opinion the panel is more attractive - the top of the panel and the cloud formations are not gold in reality but a subtle metallic sepia tone. The bottom right corner of the panel is gold. The rest of the panel is silver. This panel does not differ in tone and hue from the other lots (127-134). The surface of the panel has recently been professionally cleaned, enhancing the luminosity of the work. The glass surfaces with a few very shallow surface scratches consistent with age and gentle handling. There is a small and minor spider crack to the silvered backing toward the top of the panel that measures approximately 3 x 1 in. There is also a small/minor loss to the silvered backing over approximately 1 x 1/4 in. There are various very minor nicks and flake loss chips to the edges. Overall in our opinion these issues do not adversely affect the overall attractive appearance of the panel.
The reverse of the panel appears to be numbered 24.
