Condition
Overall good original condition. Please note that what appears in the catalogue photograph as very pale grey is in fact silver, adding depth to the composition when viewed in person. The surface of the panel has recently been professionally cleaned, enhancing the luminosity of the work. The glass surfaces with a few very shallow surface scratches consistent with age and gentle handling. There is an area to the top of the panel measuring approximately 9 in x 2 1/2 in where the silvered backing has deteriorated slightly. There is an area of slight deterioration to the gold backing to the lower left corner of the panel, as well as some deterioration to the gold backing to the lower right corner. Despite these minor issues, overall the panel presents well.
The reverse of the panel is inscribed 41.
