Overall good original condition. Please note that the color reproduction in the catalogue is not accurate. In reality in our opinion the panel is more attractive - the horse and dolphin have a slightly bronzed/warm metallic color tone. The crest of each wave also has a band of metallic pinky-gold. The surface of the panel has been recently professionally cleaned, enhancing the luminosity of the work. The glass surfaces with a few very shallow surface scratches consistent with age and gentle handling. There is some slight deterioration to the metallic backing to the center/bottom edge of the panel, consistent with natural ageing of the material. There is a shallow flake loss chip to the bottom right corner of the panel, approximately 3 in x 1/4in. There is some loss to the metallic backing in this same area approximately 3 in x 2 in. There is also a minor flake loss chip to the lower left corner approximately 1 in x 1/2 in. Overall in our opinion these issues do not adversely affect the overall attractive appearance of the panel. The reverse of the panel is numbered 62.
