the gently curved sides rising from a short straight foot to a slightly everted rim, the interior sides molded with six radiating lines for a lobed effect, covered overall in a creamy ivory glaze, the rim bound in metal

Provenance

Collection of Mrs. Edwin Sibley Webster (1870-1969), Boston, Massachusetts, and thence by descent.

Condition

In overall fair condition, with minor manufacturing imperfections including small burst glaze bubbles throughout, a few scattered small glaze gaps (longest 7 mm), and slightly uneven rim. Minor expected wear to surface. The inventory number "10-D" painted in lime green on the foot, and an old label applied to the foot reading "10-D 960-1279 A.D." Some red paint (easily removable) and sections of an old label adhered to the well.
