Estimate
8,000 - 12,000 USD

Description

  • Jade
skillfully rendered as a fish with an upturned tail, grasping in its mouth a long stem of lotus leaf with a reed meandering across its body, the stone of a grayish-celadon tone with patches of russet

Condition

The carving is in mostly good condition but there is wear to the surface, including small nicks at the edges and the russet skin of the stone is slightly pitted. The overall color is more celadon in tonality than in the printed catalog.
