  • Sandelwood
a single panel surmounted by shallow, straight sides slightly indented on each long side, the base with a central field panel, beaded edges with bracket corners

Collection of a Tea Ceremony Master, Japan (by repute).
Jadestone, Portland, Oregon.

Condition

The tray is in good overall condition. There is some shrinkage to the panels and a diagonal split to one corner causing separation of the joint. The surface with minor scratches, wear and staining consistent with age and use.
