the deep rounded sides supported on a short foot, intricately painted with four circular reserves, one in grisaille, two in sepia tones and another in famille-rose enamels, each depicting scholars traveling amidst mountainous wintry landscapes, all divided by stylized lotus arabesque on a ruby-red ground incised with delicate feathering scrollwork, the interior painted with a single stylized baoxianghua highlighted in gilt, the base with a six-character seal mark in underglaze blue

The bowl is in good overall condition with some light wear to the surface and minor firing imperfections, including some minor flaking to the puce enamel ground.
