Description

the shallow rounded sides resting on a short foot, the interior with a central medallion densely decorated with a foliated peony scroll bearing seven blossoms with spiky petals and spindly stems, all within a double-line border repeated at the rim, the exterior similarly painted with nine evenly spaced peonies wreathed in foliage, the base with a six-character mark within a double circle in underglaze blue

Condition

In overall good condition with some minor firing imperfections, including a patch of burst glaze bubbles to the cavetto. Minor nicks in the footring from normal wear.
