the cylindrical body well painted with two large and bountiful flower baskets within rectangular panels, divided by two smaller shaped reserves of 'antiques' and butterflies, all reserved on an iron-red scrolling foliate and chrysanthemum bloom ground, the neck with stylized shou characters, with later inscription, possibly a collector's name, incised into the glaze reading Wudan dougongshi

Condition

In overall good condition with light scratches and wear throughout. There is a minor potting flaw to the interior mouth rim; an approx. 7.5 cm glaze line near the base; and 5-character inscription incised into the glaze on the body. The underside of the base with label residue.
