boldly painted in bright enamels depicting a spotted deer in a grove with pine, bamboo springing from rocks, and lingzhi, a crane gliding overhead and a gilded sun and swirling clouds in the distance, within a border of oval floral panels reserved on a red diaper ground, the flat, broad rim with six cranes in flight within a border of red circles and a gilt-painted rim
