Description

  • ceramics
finely potted in low relief, the deep rounded sides rising from a slightly tapered foot, the exterior subtly molded with a band of overlapping lotus petals, covered overall with a soft blue-green glaze, save for the unglazed footring revealing the gray stoneware body

Condition

There is an approx. 0.5 cm wide restored chip to the rim, and an approx. 2.5 cm wide chip to the foot. There are also firing flaws and shallow flakes to the foot. There is a short glaze line above the foot and another to the exterior below the rim. Some expected wear to the surface, consistent with age.
