the deep rounded sides flaring to a lipped rim, the interior freely carved through the cream-colored slip with a single lotus flower emerging from a leafing stem, all against a combed ground within a line border, the underside with the slip and clear glaze falling short of the foot revealing the buff-colored body

Condition

There is an approx. 6 cm restored section to the rim with associated overspray. There is also an approx. 0.7 cm restored chip to the rim, as well as two shallow flake chips to the rim. Some wear to the glaze and foot ring and expected firing imperfections, consistent with age and type. The rim is very slightly warped.
