the deep rounded sides rising from a slightly splayed foot to an inverted rim, covered overall with a mottled black glaze, the interior with five russet-spotted roundels against a ground of further irregular metallic russet 'oil-spots', the glaze falling short above the foot to reveal the buff-colored stoneware body

Condition

In overall good condition with only minor firing imperfections, including small burst bubbles to the interior and exterior. The surface has been cleaned and polished.
