Description

of circular form with a gently domed top and a short tapered foot, incised to the straight sides with two lines, repeated at the underside, covered overall with a smooth transparent glaze, save for the foot ring left unglazed to reveal the white body (2) 

Condition

The box has an approx. 0.3 cm shallow flake to the foot with a kiln adhesion above. Some russet adhesions to the rim and underside. Minor expected wear to the foot. The cover appears to be in overall good condition. Both the box and cover with expected wear to the glaze and rim and some minor firing imperfections. The surface has been cleaned and polished.
