each with a straight crestrail above a rectangular bowed splat comprising three sections, the upper and lower panels each with oval beaded apertures, the central panel of well-figured burlwood, the straight armrests continuing to the front posts, the seat frame supported on latticework aprons with vertical struts, the side aprons of similar design, the legs joined by stretchers and a footrest (4)

Condition

There has been consolidation to all of the joins and restoration to breaks to some of the arms and feet. There are several filled repairs to splits, loose joinery, chips and abrasion (perhaps caused by sapwood). There are also likely replacements of back rails and aprons and aprons stretchers as well as other elements such as the vertical struts of the aprons. The surface with appropriate wear consistent with age and use. Please note that this lot will require a CITES permit for export outside of the United States.
