the domed cover carved in relief with a dragon writhing amidst scrolled clouds and confronting a dragon-fish emerging from swirling waves below, the red cinnabar layers carved through to the ochre lacquer ground, the lower section similarly carved with a dragon amidst clouds pursuing a 'flaming pearl', the interior and base covered in black lacquer (2)
