the Daoist deity cast seated, the eyes downcast in a sage expression and the characteristic long hair combed back, a writhing dragon emblazoned on the chest of the belted garment with a long, draped outer robe falling in folds about the exposed bare feet, the faceted throne fronted by a tortoise and snake and raised on eight scrolled feet

Condition

A portion of the back of the throne has been removed and a bracket and screw have been soldered on. One of the leg spandrels has been resoldered. There are minor casting flaws, wear, minor dents, and pitting throughout. The legs do not sit on the same plane, possibly due to slight compression.
