elaborately modeled, rising from a broad circular stepped base, the central post with a bulbous central section flanked by a pair of openwork phoenix, all supporting a lotus pod-form pedestal with lotus petal apron, vibrantly decorated in famille-rose enamels, with a six-character seal mark in iron-red inscribed in a horizontal line along the base

Condition

The flower head detached and restuck. There is an unglazed small central circle to the lotus pod at the top with an associated crack running through it and another long crack to the underside. The stem and both openwork spandrels with restored breaks and overpaint, and there is further overpaint to enamel loss to the top and sides of the base as well as some of the lotus flower tips and elsewhere.There is wear to the surface, particularly the iron-red enamel - the reign mark has a horizontal line of wear running through it.
