Description

delicately-potted with deep rounded sides rising to a flared rim, the exterior engraved with two striding five-clawed dragons in pursuit of 'flaming pearls,' all above a border of ruyi-heads circling the foot, the rim bordered with a classic scroll band, the interior centered with a medallion enclosing a shou character, the designs all picked out in green against a bright yellow ground, the base with a six-character mark within a double-circle in underglaze blue

Condition

The rim with a restored break (approximately 1 1/8 by 3/8 inch), a vertical crack (approximately 7/8 inch), three short hairline cracks, and one small chip. The footring with two chips to the interior, the largest being 1/4 inch. Two fine glaze cracks on the base: one extends across the diameter of the base, the other spans half the perimeter of the base.
