the figure with a downcast peaceful expression wearing loose fitting robes with incised foliate hems, seated in dhyanasana, the tips of both index fingers touching in a gesture of abhisekanamudra, the chest inscribed with a wan symbol

Condition

This large and impressive figure is in good condition with the exception of loss to the upper central part of the crown and a break through the adjacent section of the crown, loss to one tassel at the end of the scarf, loss and rubbing to the gilded decoration. It should be noted that the bronze is of a browner colour than the catalogue illustration would suggest.
