Description
- lacquer
of rectangular form, the interior decorated with a horizontal panel enclosing figures with a spotted deer, all under a willow tree within a garden, framed by a shaped floral cartouche against a diaper ground, with scrolling foliage on the sides
Condition
There are several areas of restored flakes to and near the rim, and restoration to the lower left corner. A section of the mother of pearl diaper ground on the right side has also been restored with associated areas of lifting. There are areas of loss to the mother of pearl and to the brown lacquer. The lacquer is quite fragile and needs to be handled with care.
