seated in lalitasana on a rockwork base holding a scroll in the left hand, wearing long flowing robes, the face with a serene downcast expression and hair ornately tied and set with jewellery

Provenance

Collection of Vilhelm Meyer (1878-1935).
Thence by descent to the present owner.

Condition

The left hand has become detached and is kept separately in a bag. There is also an approx. 2.4cm by 0.9cm chip to the upper section of the right hand. There is an area of damage to top of the rockwork beside the left side of the figure, where a vase may have been attached. An area to the chest has also been re-polished, approx. 2 by 2.5cm.
