Description

well potted with deep rounded sides rising from a slightly tapered foot, the exterior delicately painted with a continuous scene depicting an immortal holding a knotted wood staff, looking back towards another immortal with a fan, accompanied by two acolytes, one embracing a crane and the other carrying a vase with three arrows beside a pine tree, set in an idyllic landscape by a sea of turbulent waves with a distant pavilion emerging from scrolling clouds, the base with a six-character seal mark in iron red

Condition

There are two glazed-over body lines to the rim (longest measuring 1.3cm), original to the firing. Apart from minute nibbling to the foot and minor glaze firing imperfections (e.g. dark speckles), the bowl is in good condition.
