skilfully carved with a flat interior surrounded with shallow rounded sides rising to a grooved rim, the underside carved in low relief with a soaring bat with outstretched wings, further highlighted in openwork with a gnarled lingzhi sprig issuing from the side, the bamboo richly patinated to a warm brown colour

Condition

In good overall condition, with the exception of natural nicks and minor drying cracks, including one running horizontally across a lingzhi head to the base, 2cm). The interior with areas of minor wear to the patina.
