Condition
Textile measurements; 55cm across the top, 56cm across the bottom, 76cm the left hand side, 76cm the right hand side.
Mounted on stretcher - 79 by 58cm. The upper and lower border crudely attached to the central loom width floral panel, reduced in height top and bottom with original green selvages. There is a minor cobbled repair to the centre lower of these attached borders. There is a horizontal technical fault in tension beneath the upper border. Some very minor splits to the madder silk in the field- the damask foundation visible under close inspection. There are two areas of discolouration to the base of the main panel, found beneath ribbon of the bouquet. A charming and decorative item.
Six other fragments, loose and not lined. Good overall condition.
