Several loose pieces of mother of pearl are within a plastic bag labelled 'Victoria & Albert Museum' inside the casket. There are a few minor losses to the wood on the interior of the lid, as well as areas of restoration to the wood border of the lid interior and one of the corners of the lid of the inner compartment. There is wear including minor corrosion to the metal mounts. The underside is lined with green felt.
