  • white marble
  • 74cm., 29 1/8 in.
in Rococo style

Condition

Overall, the condition of the marble is good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. The marble appears to have been outside with some resultant loss of surface detail, and the surface has probably been partially repolished. The nose is restored. The bust has been reattached on the socle. There is dirt in particular to the back of the neck. There are naturally occurring inclusions to the marble. There are small chips and abrasions to the drapery. There is possible restoration to the drapery at both arms. There may be some restoration to the tresses of hair at the proper left side of the woman's neck. There appears to be a loss to the area of drapery to the side of the woman's proper right dress. There is a small loss to the back of the bust towards the socle.
