  • Two Damascus Pottery Tiles

  • each: 26.8 by 26.8cm., 10 1/2 by 10 1/2 in.; together: 53.7 by 26.8cm., 21 1/8 by 10 1/2 in.
decorated in underglaze cobalt blue, apple green, turquoise and mauve highlights with black outlines, part of panel with vase composition, both tiles mounted together

Condition

Set together onto wooden mount with hook for attaching, the lower one with vertical break and horizontal break near bottom edge associated restoration, hairline cracks to glaze throughout, the upper section also with hairline craquelure and some pitting, some abrasion along edges, bright glaze, as viewed.
