Condition
This interesting piece has lost its original lacquered decoration presenting a red wash on a white ground. There are some visible constructions cracks as well as marks and scratches consistent with age and use. It has lost its uphsotelry and some of the stuffing is visible through tears on the cotton fabric covering it. The hinged seat is of a later date, as well as the baton feet.
