Catalogue Note

Firashat al-Ittihad is the name of a company in Luxor (al-Uqsur) in Egypt. This is a tent for Ramadan set up by the company in the name of the owner (al-muhandis) and his partners (shuraka’uhu). In Egypt the rich erect these tents every year as charity in Ramadan and anyone can eat there for free.”
