Condition

The original canvas appears to be stable. There is some paint cracking in the red pigment surrounding the standing figure and a further crack at the centre of the lower edge. There are two small paint losses at the extreme upper edge and a further loss in the lower left corner. There are four tiny impressions in the paint surface in the lower left quadrant and a horizontal scuff. There is some surface dirt across the work and a spot of surface matter in the lower left corner. With the exception of the above the work appears to be in good overall condition. Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching. The work is presented unframed.
