with marine ivory hilt and carved watered steel blade, velvet-covered hilt

Condition

The hilt with break to metal band surmounting the two pieces of marine-ivory, missing chape (remaining residue from old adhesive), the scabbard in fragile condition, broken wood, the velvet rubbed due to use and losses to ribbon, the blade with some oxidisation, as viewed.
