In the 1912 Salon des Indépendants exhibition, Jacques Doucet discovers Indenbaum to whom he commissions various works for the avant-gardist decoration of his avenue du Bois de Boulogne apartments. From 1916 until 1919, Indenbaum joins Antoine Bourdelle's workshop. In 1968, he woud be awarded the Institut de France Georges Wildenstein prize.
