  • silver gilt, enamel, lapis lazuli
  • 53cm., 20 7/8 in. high
each of hexagonal section, arranged in tiers, the two-handled upper section with figures of the  Virtues and soldiers in niches, the lower section with glazed jewelled and enamelled three-dimensional Old Testament subjects, the central section with figures of St George and the Dragon within scrolls, a column surmounted by allegories of Virtue at each corner, the borders with pierced and enamelled friezes of masks within rich foliage, on six mask and paw supports, maker's mark and town mark

Condition

overall good condition and impressive pair, one with support wobbly and restuck. Some cracks to veneered panels.
