the tapering bowls with a front raised landscape panel, one carved with huntsmen in pursuit with a pack of hounds in water attacking a stag, the other with two stags flanking a central tree trunk, the reverses with a viewing lens framed by scrolling foliage, with further scrolls to the rims, each upon a ten-sided stem and foot, the domed covers and feet with scalloped-shaped rims engraved with a band of fruiting vine,
Condition
Both are in generally good appearance.
To the goblet in the left of the catalogue illustration.
There is a minute chip to the flange of the cover. The rim of the goblet has two triangle-shaped chips located at the reverse, these measure approximately 2.4cm. x1.7cm. and 1.8cm. x 1.1cm.
Both have some typical wear to the undersides of their feet, and some faint surface scratching around the edge of the feet.
