transfer printed and hand coloured in a rich Imari palette, comprising: a large soup tureen, cover and stand; two vegetable tureens and covers; two soup tureens, covers and stands, and an additional stand, of hexagonal shape with pierced bands at the rims; five rectangular platters in four sizes; twenty-two dinner plates; eleven soup plates; twenty-two side plates and nine bread and butter plates, printed Royal Arms over STONE CHINA/No. 7 marks in blue
Condition
In overall good appearance. Most of the pieces in the service are in good condition with no damage noted.
1 large platter with a short crack at the rim, perhaps from manufacture.
Both vegetable tureens with a crack. The large tureen cover with a body crack at finial, and a sauce tureen cover with a small hairline crack at ladle hole.
Plates: 4 are broken and re-stuck, 1 has a large rim chip and a crack, and a further plate is cracked;
Soup plates: three with cracks;
Side plates: 1 chipped and another broken and re-stuck;
Bread and Butter plates: 1 cracked and another chipped.
